The Pittsburgh Penguins look to snap a losing skid as the Anaheim Ducks skate into Pittsburgh for a Halloween night tilt.

After picking up their first win on their current four-game northeastern road trip, the Anaheim Ducks go for their third road win of the season on Thursday night as they visit PPG Paints Arena and the struggling Pittsburgh Penguins. On a six-game losing streak, Pittsburgh is 1-3 at home so far this season as their defense has been torched allowing four or more goals in seven consecutive games. The Penguins have the NHL’s worst goals-against average surrendering 4.27 goals per game and have a team save percentage of .879 through 11 games. Anaheim has not won back-to-back games yet this season and hasn’t won consecutive contests since March.

Ducks winger Troy Terry leads the team in goals and points and comes into this game on an eight-game points streak. In his eighth season with Anaheim, Terry scored his 100th career goal in Tuesday night’s 3-1 win over the New York Islanders. The power-play goal was the second of the season and the 21st of his career.

In his 19th season in the NHL Evgeni Malkin, who has played his entire career with the Penguins, ranks sixth in the league with his team-high 11 assists through his first 11 games. Earlier this season Malkin scored his 500th career goal coming in the Penguins last win back on October 16 against Buffalo.

Despite the Penguins’ defensive woes, Pittsburgh is seventh in the league on the penalty kill stopping 84.8% of chances against the man advantage and have held four of their last five opponents without a power play goal.

Anaheim goaltender Lukas Dostal is 4-2-1 with a 2.00 goals against average helping the Ducks claim the NHL’s sixth best scoring defense that is allowing just 2.78 goals per game.
