Artturi Lehkonen scored the first and last goals of the game on Saturday, but the Boston Bruins put three on the board in between to hand the Avalanche a 3-2 defeat as Boston snapped a six-game losing streak. Nathan MacKinnon had assists on both goals, the first coming 4:26 into the game and the second with 20 seconds remaining.

Dougie Hamilton converted twice on second-period power plays to lift New Jersey to a 3-1 victory over the visiting San Jose Sharks on Friday night. Hamilton added an assist on Connor Brown’s late empty-net tally and Nico Hischier assisted on all three Devils’ goals. Jake Allen made 16 saves as New Jersey outshot the Sharks 29-17 on the night.

Jack Hughes leads the Devils with six goals while Jesper Bratt has four goals and a team-best 11 points. Allen is 4-0-0 in five starts with a .932 save percentage and 1.72 goals-against average. MacKinnon and Martin Nečas share the team lead for Colorado with six goals each while MacKinnon has a team-high 13 points. Scott Wedgewood has a .904 save percentage and 2.42 GAA while starting all nine games.
