With playoffs on the line, the Colorado Avalanche will travel to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday night for a Western Conference matchup against the Calgary Flames as the teams look to climb the standings. The Flames are currently in fourth place in the Pacific Division with a record of 30-23-11 for a total of 71 points. The team trails the third place L.A. Kings by six points and sits even with the fifth place Vancouver Canucks. The team is currently in a Wild Card position, but with over a month remaining in regular season play, that could certainly change. The team’s most recent game took place on Wednesday against the Canucks and resulted in a 4-3 shootout loss. Jonathan Huberdeau scored two of the Flames’ goals while Nazem Kadri was responsible for the third.
