The Kraken go for their fourth straight win on Tuesday night when they host the Avalanche

The Seattle Kraken continue their five-game homestand on Tuesday night when they welcome the Colorado Avalanche to town. The Kraken have own the first two games of the homestand and the last three overall. They opened the season with two losses in their first three games, but haven’t lost since. The offense kicked it into gear in wins against the Nashville Predators and Philadelphia Flyers as they scored 13 combined goals in the two wins. Saturday the defense took control as they limited the Calgary Flames to just one goal in a 2-1 overtime win. The Kraken did give up the first goal in the game with the Flames, but held them scoreless over the last two periods to get the win. Chandler Stephenson scored a power play goal in the second period to tie the game and Jordan Eberle won it for the Kraken as he scored 48 seconds into overtime. It was his fifth goal of the season.

The Avalanche will look to slow down the streaking Kraken on Tuesday as they look to win a third straight game.

The Avalanche struggled to start the year as they dropped their first four games, but have bounced back with wins over the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks.

The defense was not good to start the year as they gave up at least five goals in each of its first four games and 25 overall.

It has been much better over the last two as they have given up just four combined goals in their two wins. The Avalanche now sit at 2-4-0 on the season.
