They led heading into the third period after scoring four goals in the second period, but they couldn’t hold onto the lead and now face a do-or-die game on Saturday night. The Stars have won the last two games in Dallas 4-3 in overtime and 6-2. The win in Game 5 was their best offensive performance of the series and are hoping to have the same type of game on Saturday night. Roope Hintz is leading the team with four goals and Mikko Rantanen is leading the team with six assists and eight points.

The Avalanche forced a Game 7 thanks to the big third period in which Valeri Nichuskin tied it and Nathan MacKinnon had the game-winning goal at 9:04 of the period. It was the sixth goal of the series for MacKinnon.

The Avalanche have shown they can win in Dallas as they took the first game of the series 5-1.

Until Game 6, the Avalanche had not had the same type of offensive production and it caused them to lose three games.

MacKinnon leads the Avalanche with six goals and 10 points. Artturi Lehkonen and Valeri Nichushkin both have three goals for the Avalanche in the series.
