The Columbus Blue Jackets try to end a three-game losing streak when they travel to face off against the Los Angeles Kings.
The Los Angeles Kings try to stay at the top of the Pacific division standings when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night. Heading into the weekend, the Kings were tied with the Vegas Golden Knights with 19 points. The Kings will have the easier road to stay at the top with the Blue Jackets losing three in a row and near the bottom of the Metropolitan division. The Kings are trying to get back in the win column after dropping 4-2 against the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday. Quinn Hughes had a goal and assist for the Canucks as he keeps up his hot streak with a goal and five assists in three games. Vancouver lost Brock Boeser after getting checked in the head by Tanner Jeannot. Conor Garland scored on the five-minute power play. That swung the momentum in favor of the Canucks as they scored three straight. Quinton Byfield scored the first goal in the game and Vladislav Gavrikov scored the last goal for the Kings. LA are -210 favorites at home tonight.

Columbus nearly got back in the win column in its last game but dropped to San Jose 2-1 in overtime. The Blue Jackets were down 1-0 most of the game until Kirill Marchenko tied it nine minutes into the third period. It was nearly enough but Alex Wennberg helped the Sharks out last Columbus scoring 3:11 into overtime. The loss was especially disheartening for Columbus because it outshot the Sharks 50-27 with San Jose goalie Vitek Vanecek certainly playing one of the best games of his life. The Blue Jackets hope to have some more luck swing their way in this game.
