Both teams come into this matinee matchup off rousing defeats having lost by a combined 10-1 scoreline in their games on Thursday night as the Blues were blanked 5-0 at home against Minnesota while Calgary dropped a 5-1 road loss at Vancouver after upsetting Edmonton on opening night 4-3 in a shootout spoiling the defending Western Conference Champions on opening night.

Now in his eighth season in St. Louis, Blues center Jordan Kyrou has posted three consecutive 30-goal seasons and has collected a trio of 70-point campaigns over the last four years. Kyrou, a second-round selection by St. Louis in the 2016 NHL Draft, scored three goals in the Blues first round playoff loss to Winnipeg including the opening goal in Game 7 just seventy seconds into the first period. In 13 career games against the Flames, Kyrou has six goals and four assists but has just one goal in his last three trips to Alberta.

Calgary goaltender Dustin Wolf posted a career high 29 wins in net for the Flames last season as he took over the number one goalie duties starting 53 games. In his lone start against the Blues last season, Wolf got roughed up allowing four goals on 29 shots in a road loss back in January.
