St. Louis Blues continue 4-game trip against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night at Canadian Tire Centre

The St. Louis Blues (5-4-0, 10 points) are 1-1-0 on their current four-game road trip and hit the next stop on Tuesday night when they visit the Ottawa Senators (4-4-0, 8 points) at Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa. The Senators lost the last two games of a 1-2-0 Western trip while St. Louis also comes in off a loss. The Blues finished with 92 points last season, well out of a Western Conference playoff berth despite a 30-19-5 finish under coach Drew Bannister, who replaced Craig Berube after a 13-14-1 start. Ottawa has a new coach this season in Travis Green, who spent parts of five seasons with the Vancouver Canucks and coached the New Jersey Devils to an 8-12-1 finish a season ago.

Trailing 2-0 entering the third period, the Senators tied the game at 2-2 before the Colorado Avalance pulled away for a 5-4 victory in Denver on Sunday. Claude Giroux scored twice for Ottawa and Brady Tkachuk finished with a goal and two assists. Giroux and Drake Batherson have five goals each to lead the team, while Batherson, Tkachuk and Tim Stützle each have 10 points. Anton Forsberg is 2-2-0 in five starts with an .895 save percentage and 3.27 goals-against average.

St. Louis also fell into a 2-0 hole before tying the game on Saturday, taking a 5-2 loss on the road to the Montreal Canadiens. Colton Parayko scored his first of the season and Jake Neighbours also lit the lamp. Neighbors paces the team with four goals and Jordan Kyrou has a team-best nine points. Jordan Binnington is 2-4-0 in six starts with a .903 save percentage and 2.86 GAA.

Defenseman Nick Leddy was set to rejoin the Blues on the road trip, out since Oct. 15 with a lower-body injury. Center Robert Thomas landed on injured reserve on Wednesday with an ankle injury. For Ottawa, defenseman Artem Zub has been out since Oct. 14 with a concussion, Shane Pinto hasn’t played the last two games and David Perron hasn’t played since Oct. 19 due to personal reasons.
