The Vegas Golden Knights return home on Thursday to take on the Boston Bruins. The Golden Knights are coming off a four-game road trip in which they went 1-3 and they have now lost four of their last five games. The slump has dropped their record to 39-20-8 on the season and it has them just four points up on the Edmonton Oilers for first place in the Pacific Division. Thursday’s game is the first of three straight at home that will also see them play the Detroit Red Wings and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Golden Knights sit in third place in the Western Conference, one point back of the Dallas Stars and 12 points back of the Winnipeg Jets who are in first. They probably can’t catch the Jets, but can still move into second place with a strong finish to the season.

The Bruins come into Thursday on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them to 30-30-9 on the season. They have now lost 11 of their last 14 games and they have fallen three points back of the New York Rangers for the last wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
They are bunched up with a group of six teams that all sit within four points of each other. It is going to be a crazy ending to the regular season and the Bruins are hoping they can make a run and slip into the playoffs.
The game of Thursday is the first of five straight on the road for the Bruins that will also see them visit San Jose, Los Angeles, Anaheim and Detroit.
