The Canadiens look to snap a two-game losing streak on Saturday night when they visit the Islanders
The Montreal Canadiens take a quick trip away from home when they take on the New York Islanders on Saturday night. The Canadiens will then return home for two straight starting with the New York Rangers on Tuesday. First, though, they want to get a win on Saturday night as they try and end a two-game losing streak. The Canadiens opened up the season two wins in their first three games, but have struggled in losses to the Pittsburgh Penguins and Los Angeles Kings. The offense has been inconsistent this season and they are looking to get it going on Saturday and get a win. Cole Caulfield has been good for the Canadiens to start the season as he leads the team with four goals. Lane Hutson is the team-leader in assists with four.

The Islanders will look to slow down Caulfield as they try and bounce back from a 1-0 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues.
The Islanders are now 1-1-2 on the season and will be playing just their second game at home. They opened the season at home and lost to the Utah Hockey Club 5-4 in overtime and then went on the road for three games in which they won just one game.
Saturday’s game is the first of four at home over their next five games. They are hoping they can take advantage of the home games as they try and get out of their funk to start the season.
