Florida Panthers need a win to reclaim Atlantic Division lead while Montreal Canadiens have lost 5 straight

The Montreal Canadiens (33-30-9, 75 points) picked a bad time for a five-game losing streak, as they have fallen out of a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. On Sunday, the Canadiens visit the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers (44-25-3, 91 points), who have won two straight and three of their last four, at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. Montreal now trails the New York Rangers by two points with 10 games remaining for the final wild-card spot in the East while the Panthers fell out of first place in the Atlantic with the Toronto Maple Leafs’ victory on Saturday night and are one point back, tied with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
