Vancouver will be the toughest opponent of this three-game winning streak for San Jose. The Canucks are the clear favorites with a -270 line. But Vancouver is on the other side of the spectrum as the team tries to avoid a three-game losing streak. The Canucks lost their first three games of the season in a row but rebounded with four-game winning streak. No they’ve lost back-to-back games most recently losing 6-0 to the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday. New Jersey only outshot Vancouver by two with 22 shots but still managed to dominate with six goals. Jacob Markstrom got his 21st career shutout after stopping all 20 shots he faced. It was uncharacteristic of this usually formidable offense. Expect them to correct course tonight even on the road.
