At just 20-years-old, Ducks center Leo Carlsson has emerged as an offensive weapon in Anaheim posting a team-leading 36 points so far this season, ranking the Sweden native fourth in the National Hockey League in scoring. Carlsson, the number two overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, comes into the weekend with 10 points in his last eight games including a pair of multi-point efforts in his last four outings. 

In his 21st season in the NHL, Ovechkin is second on the Capitals this season with 14 goals pushing his all-time mark to 911 career goals after scoring four times in his last five games. Ovechkin has helped pace the Capitals scoring attack that is second in the league netting 3.50 goals per game but has struggled against Anaheim failing to score against the Ducks since November of 2019, a span of nine games.
