The division-leading Winnipeg Jets look for a third straight win against the slumping Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday.

Losers of three straight games, the Columbus Blue Jackets wrap up their five-game road trip in Alberta on Sunday night as they face-off against the Central Division-leading Winnipeg Jets in the second of two games between the teams this season. Winnipeg dominated the first meeting this season, beating Columbus 6-2 behind a hat trick from Nikolaj Ehlers. The Jets began the season on a 15-1-0 streak that vaulted them into the top of the standings, but seven losses in the following 10 games brought Winnipeg back down to earth a bit before sweeping their recent two-game road trip to start December.

Paced by veteran goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, the Jets are allowing just 2.54 goals per game, second-best in the National Hockey League. Hellebuyck is 17-5-0 in his first 22 starts and is in the top three in wins, goals against average, save percentage and shutouts to begin the year. The 31-year-old Michigan native have spent his entire career in Winnipeg, winning 30 or more games in five of the last seven seasons and comes into the weekend seven wins away from coming the seventh American born goaltender with 300 career wins.

Columbus defenseman Zach Werenski leads the Blue Jackets with 27 points this season, third-best in the NHL among defensemen. Werenski, a first round pick by Columbus in the 2015 NHL Draft, has at least one assist in nine of his last 11 games and is on pace to shatter his career-high of 57 points set last season.

Winnipeg has won each of the last three meetings in this series by a combined 17-3 score and has won four of the last five games at home.
