The St. Louis Blues return home on Sunday night to take on the Anaheim Ducks. The Blues are coming off a six-game road trip that saw them go 3-2-1. They won two of their first three, but lost two of their last three. They did get a huge win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. The win pushed their record to 32-28-7 on the season and has them two points back of the Vancouver Canucks for the last wild card spot in the Western Conference. They are tied with the Calgary Flames with 71 points and are two up on the Utah Hockey Club. The Blues will hit the road for a game against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, but then will return home again for four straight. First, though, they need to get a big win over the Ducks and keep pace with the teams fighting for the last playoff spots.

The Ducks, though, are looking to come to town and deal the Blues a damaging loss. The two teams played just nine days ago with the Ducks coming up on the wrong end of a 4-3 score.

The Ducks have gone 2-2 since that loss and come into Sunday fresh off a 2-1 win over the Predators on Friday night.

Sunday’s game is the first of three straight on the road for the Ducks before they return home for five straight.

The Ducks are now sitting at 29-30-7 on the season and it has them in sixth place in the Pacific Division, three points up on the Seattle Kraken.
