They scored seven goals in wins against both the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins and then went to Minnesota on Saturday night and beat a the red-hot Wild, 2-1, in a Central Division battle. The Stars now sit at 11-5-0 on the season and are in third place in the division. They are three points back of the Wild for second place and eight points back of the first place Winnipeg Jets. Monday they will look to close the gap on the two teams and get a fourth straight win before they take on the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday.

The Ducks, though, are looking to come to town and pick up a huge upset win over the streaking Stars.

The Ducks are beginning a two-game road trip and come into Monday fresh off a big 6-4 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.

The win was their second in the last three games and improved their record to 6-8-2 on the season.

They had lost four in a row before the recent stretch and they haven’t won two games in a row all season. They have lost two in a row three different times this season, but are trying to get a second straight win for the first time.
