Having alternated wins and losses over the last seven games and coming off a nationally televised home loss to Boston, the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers open a quick two-game road trip on Monday night when they drop the puck on the third of three meetings this season against the Philadelphia Flyers in search of the season sweep. The Flyers snapped a four-game losing streak with a dominant 6-0 home win over Anaheim on Saturday as they attempt to salvage their four-game home stand and get their first win over the Panthers in four games dating back to last season.

Panthers center Aleksander Barkov leads the team with 26 assists this season and comes into this game with an assist in three of his last four games. Barkov, the second overall selection in the 2013 NHL Draft, has spent his entire career with the Panthers where he has totaled 40 or more assists six of the last seven seasons including each of the last three. The 31-year-old Finland native has a goal and two assists in two games against the Flyers this season with the goal and one assist coming on the Panthers seventh ranked power play.

Tied for 11th in the league in points, Flyers winger Travis Konecny has 50 points on the year and has been red hot since the New Year posting eight points in five games including a four assist night in Saturday’s victory over the Ducks.

Florida has won three straight in this series including two in Philadelphia winning both games by two or more goals.
