Then, the team from Toronto took a narrow 2-1 finish over the Avalanche on Wednesday at home. This time, Steven Lorentz and Matthews got on the scoresheet to secure the win.
Finally, the Maples Leafs beat the Rangers 4-3 at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.
