The Predators finished the regular season as the top wild card in the Western Conference after going 47-30-5. They finished the regular season with wins in two of their last three games. The Predators were the hottest team in the NHL over a month stretch, as they won 17 of 18 games to put themselves into the playoffs. They finished the season with 99 points, eight points back of the Colorado Avalanche for third place in the Central Division. They shook off the slow start to the season, but they have been playing great and will look to carry that into the playoffs.

The Canucks, though, are looking to defend their home ice and avoid the upset in the first game of the series.
The Canucks won the Pacific Division as they had 109 points, five more than the Edmonton Oilers.
They have been one of the top teams in the Western Conference all season long and come into the playoffs as one of the favorite to make it to the Stanley Cup.
The two teams played three times this season with the Canucks winning all three. They haven’t played since December, though, and the Predators have played much better since their last meeting.
