For the second night in a row, the Los Angeles Kings (26-16-6) have a game in the Sunshine State on Thursday night. The Kings are on the fourth game of a five-game Eastern Conference road trip, with a back-to-back in the state of Florida. After a 3-0 loss to the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night, the Kings head across the state to visit the Tampa Bay Lightning (26-20-3) at Amalie Arena. The Kings are still looking for their first win on this road trip. Prior to their 3-0 loss to Florida on Wednesday night the team fell 3-2 in overtime to the Columbus Blue Jackets and 5-2 to the Detroit Red Wings.

Tampa is also trying to bounce back from a loss. The Lightning last played on Tuesday and loss 4-1 to the Chicago Blackhawks in the first game of a five game homestand.

The last time the Lightning and Kings played was back in early January in Los Angeles. After both teams scored early in the first period the game was scoreless until there were six minutes to go in the third period, when Adrian Kempe delivered the game-winner. That was after the Lightning outshot the Kings 34 to 21 over the course of the game.
