The Kings are in the middle of a five-game Eastern Conference road trip. They’re still looking for their first win of the trip, but have already picked up a point. The trip started with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday, then a 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Monday.

The Panthers meanwhile are returning from a four-game Western Conference road trip. They went 2-2-0 on that swing, mainly in the Southwest.

That trip included a matchup against the Kings, which was played a week ago. The Kings won that game 2-1, scoring two unanswered goals in the third period after the Panthers scored the first goal of the game in the second period. Goalie Darcy Kuemper was excellent for the Kings in that game, stopping 27 of the 28 shots he saw in the win.
