The Golden Knights are coming off a tough 3-2 overtime loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday. Vegas lost despite outshooting Pittsburgh 37-17. Sidney Crosby got the Penguins out to a 2-0 lead scoring the first goals of the game. Vegas came back, cutting the lead in half with a power play goal by Pavel Dorofeyev in the second. The game looked all wrapped up, but Noah Hanifin breathed a whole new life into the game, scoring with just seven seconds left in regulation forcing overtime. The good luck didn’t last for Vegas though in the extra period. Erik Karlsson made sure that overtime wouldn’t last long, scoring 49 seconds in. Pittsburgh tied the season series 1-1 in the finale in the process.

Columbus is also coming off a 5-3 loss on Tuesday to the New Jersey Devils. The Devils just got off to a hot start that was too much to come back from. New Jersey scored the first three goals before Columbus got on the board. The Blue Jackets responded impressively though in the second period, scoring the first two goals from Mathieu Olivier and Kirill Marchenko. Unfortunately for the Blue Jackets, New Jersey scored two more goals to put the game away.
