The Seattle Kraken and San Jose Sharks face each other for the third time this season on Monday night.
Monday night’s NHL slate wraps up all the way out west, with the Seattle Kraken (30-30-13) visiting the San Jose Sharks (17-48-8) in a Pacific Division matchup. It will be the third meeting of the season between these two teams. Their first came on Nov. 22 in Seattle and the Kraken came away with a 7-1 win. Right wing Eeli Tolvanen scored two goals and had an assist for the Kraken in that one, and defenseman Oliver Bjorkstrand tallied a goal and three assists. Then on Jan 30 in San Jose, the Sharks struck back with a 2-0 shutout win that featured 32 saves from goalie Mackenzie Blackwood.

The Kraken last played on Saturday. They fell 3-0 to the Dallas Stars to wrap up a four-game homestand. Prior to that the Sharks picked up back-to-back wins over the Anaheim Ducks by scores of 4-0 and 4-2.
The Sharks won the last time out, knocking off the St. Louis Blues 4-0 on Saturday. Blackwood was excellent in that game as well, making 35 saves as the Sharks were outshot 35 to 20. San Jose was able to tip the ice with physical play, out-hitting St. Louis 26-15.
