For St. Louis, this is the second game of a five-game homestand. The Blues picked up their first win of the homestand last time out on Saturday beating the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2. Defenseman Colton Parayko led the way with two goals – his second and third of the season – both coming in the second period. He also had an assist. That win snapped a three-game losing streak for St. Louis.

For Tampa Bay, this is the final game of a four-game road trip. This trip began in Colorado, where the Lightning beat the Avalanche 5-2. Since then though the Lightning have dropped two games, losing to the Minnesota Wild 5-3 and most recently the Winnipeg Jets 7-4 on Sunday.

Right winger Nikita Kucherov has been on a tear to start the season for Tampa. He was 20 points in 12 games, with an even split of 10 goals and 10 assists. His 10 goals lead the team, while he’s tied for the team lead in assists.
