Metropolitan Division-leading New Jersey Devils host the Tampa Bay Lighting on Tuesday with both teams coming off losses

The New Jersey Devils (5-2-1, 11 points) come off an overtime loss on Saturday as they host the Tampa Bay Lightning (3-2-0, 6 points) on Tuesday night at the Prudential Center in Newark. The Lightning complete a three-game road trip looking to salvage a win after two straight losses. New Jersey is short on the blueline, with young Luke Hughes recovering from shoulder surgery and free-agent addition Brett Pesce out with a lower-leg injury. The Devils are off to a strong start, but have just one playoff appearance in the last six seasons.
