The Panthers stole both games in Tampa and are now looking to take a three-game lead with a win on Saturday. They had little trouble scoring in game one as they won that game 6-2 and then their defense stepped up in game two as they shutout the Lightning 2-0 on Thursday night to take a two-game lead. Nate Schmidt opened the scoring in game two in the first period and then Sam Bennett slammed the door shut with an empty net goal with four seconds left. Schmidt has now scored three times in the first two games and Bennett has two goals. Sergei Bobrovsky was great in net in game two as he saved all 19 shots to earn a playoff shutout.
