Both the Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning are trying to bounce back from tough losses when they face off on Black Friday.

The Nashville Predators look to avoid losing three games in a row but they may have trouble doing that when the Tampa Bay Lightning come to town. Tampa is just a few points off the top spot in the Atlantic division while Nashville is tied with Chicago for the bottom of the Central. Nashville is coming off a tough 3-2 loss against the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime on Thanksgiving Eve. Roman Josi scored the first goal of the game and Ryan O’Reilly got Nashville back the lead at the end of the first after Philly responded. Unfortunately for Nashville, the Predators couldn’t score again.

What added more insult to injury is that the Predators were leading for much of the rest of the game until Morgan Frost scored to tie the game with just 12 seconds left in regulation. It was just a matter of time until the Flyers capitalized on the dramatic ending to the game and Sean Couturier did just that scoring the winning goal in overtime. This will be one that Nashville will quickly like to forget.

The Lightning are coming off a 5-4 loss to the Washington Capitals that was a deflating loss after they beat Colorado emphatically 8-2 in their previous game. Tampa Bay came out strong scoring the first two goals of the game but Washington was able to bounce right back in the second period scoring the next two goals. Washington and Tampa Bay kept trading goals until Tom Wilson scored a power play goal with 3:26 left in regulation.

The Lightning still weren’t able to win despite Charlie Lindgren of the Capitals scoring an own goal to put Tampa Bay up 4-3 when there was no pressure. This should be a good opportunity for the Lighting to bounce back tonight.
