Following a modest 8-8-0 start to the 2025-26 National Hockey League season, the Canucks have dropped nine of their last 11 games with three separate three-game losing streaks in that span including four in a row inside Rogers Arena having not won on home ice since Nov. 8 against Columbus. Utah swept Vancouver last season winning all three meetings allowing just four goals in that span.

Mammoth center Logan Cooley leads the team with 14 goals this season having posted five goals in his last six games. Cooley, the number three overall selection in the 2022 NHL Draft, is in his third season in the NHL and is on pace to shatter his career high in goals after netting 25 in Utah last season. In six career games against the Canucks, Cooley has posted six points including a goal in each of his last two appearances.

With a team leading 20 assists this season, Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes is having another stellar season ranking third among all defensemen in the league in assists and has finished in the top four in assists among defensemen each of the last four seasons. Hughes has posted four consecutive 60-assist campaigns including a career high 75 during the 2023-24 season where he also posted a career best 17 goals.
