The Toronto Maple Leafs go for their third straight win on Thursday when they take on the Ottawa Senators in game three of their best-of-seven first-round series. The Maple Leafs won the first two games on their home ice and are hoping to take a big three-game lead with a road win on Thursday. In the first game of the series they cruised to a 6-2 win, but game two was much closer as they won 3-2 in overtime. They looked like they were on their way to an easy win as Morgan Rielly and John Tavares both scored in the first period to give them a 2-0 lead. The Senators, though, would score in the second and then late in the third to force overtime. Max Domi made sure the Maple Leafs stopped the rally as he scored 3:09 into overtime to give them the win. The Maple Leafs are now looking to all but put away the Senators with another win on Thursday.

Ottawa, though, is looking to climb back into the series and defend its home ice and get its first win of the series. The Senators are in the playoffs for the first time since 2017 when they made it to the conference finals.
They missed the playoffs for seven straight seasons and are hoping they can put up more of a fight against the Maple Leafs.
They get the next two games on their home ice and can put the pressure on the heavily-favored Maple Leafs by winning in their own arena.
