Then, the 2024 Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers hosted the Washington Capitals at Amerant Bank Arena. Niko Mikkola scored the Panthers’ lone goal in the 4-1 loss at home, while Lars Eller, Jakob Chychrun and Ivan Miroshnichenko all got on the scoresheet for the Capitals.

Jake Guentzel notched a brace for the team from Central Florida, to go along with goals from Nikita Kucherov, Nick Perbix, Anthony Cirelli, Michael Eyssimont, Luke Glendening and Brayden Point.
