Riding a season-longest six-game losing streak, the Nashville Predators are aiming to avoid tying the worst losing skid in franchise history on Saturday night when they conclude their three-game Canadian road trip in the Canadian capital city as they face off against the Ottawa Senators. Nashville lost seven consecutive games in April of 2013 and are currently on the longest losing streak since then and their second losing streak of five or more games already this season. The Senators snapped a five-game losing streak in late November and have now won three of their last five as their defense has buckled down allowing just seven goals in those three wins.

Senators center Tim Stutzle leads the team with 30 points this season and has collected at least a point in seven of his last eight games. Stutzle, the third overall selection in the 2020 NHL Draft, is on pace for his second 90-point season in three years and is on target to surpass his career-best 52 assists set last season.

Nashville is averaging just 2.22 goals per game this season and have only scored three or more goals three times in their last 16 games. The Predators defense has held up its end of the deal having held 12 of their last 13 opponents to three goals or less led by goaltender Juuse Saros who has only allowed more than three goals once in his last 16 starts.

Nashville has won seven of the last 11 meetings in this series dating back to February of 2018 and has left Ottawa with a win two of the last three seasons.
