Armed with the National Hockey League’s second ranked scoring defense, the New Jersey Devils sit atop the Metropolitan Division with six wins in their last eight games as the look for the first win on their six-game road trip on Tuesday night when they face off against the Anaheim Ducks for the second time this season. The Ducks come into this game off a 5-3 upset victory over Edmonton on Sunday and have won four of their last seven games. Anaheim struggled through the first two and a half months of the season winning 10 of their first 28 games, but the Ducks defense has tightened up having held five of their last seven opponents to three goals or less.

Devils winger Jesper Bratt ranks 10^th in the league with his team leading 47 points this season and comes into this game with at least one point in 12 of his last 14 games. The 26-year-old Bratt was a sixth-round selection by New Jersey in the 2016 NHL Draft and has thrived over the last four seasons finding an everyday spot in the lineup. Bratt has posted career highs in points each of the last three seasons and is on pace for his first career 90-point campaign.

Ducks goaltender Lukas Dostal is ninth in the league with his .913 save percentage and has held nine of his last 10 opponents to three goals or less. After posting a career high 14 wins last season, Dostal already his nine victories under his belt this year including his second career shutout in the season opener against San Jose back in October.

New Jersey is second in the league on the power play scoring on a whopping 30.6% of opportunities with the man advantage. Conversely, the Ducks penalty kill is 28^th in the NHL and has allowed 11 power play goals in their last 11 games.
