Carolina was able to win both games at home in games one and two. Sebastian Aho and Ian Cole both scored for Carolina in the game one win after Filip Chytil scored for New York. Sebastian Aho scored again in game two with Brendan Smith winning 2-0.
New York came back and won games three and four tying the series up. Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, and Tyler Motte scored in game three winning 3-1. Zibanejad added another in game four with Andrew Copp, Adam Fox, and Frank Vatrano in the 4-1 win.
With the series back to even, it’s anyone’s game with three games remaining. So far all home teams have won and with Carolina have two of the three games at home, it might favor the No. 1 seed.
