The Edmonton Oilers can return to the Western Conference Finals by closing out the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 on Wednesday.
The Edmonton Oilers won the first two games of their Western Conference second round series on the road and return to T-Mobile Arena for Game 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights with a 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven series. With a victory, Edmonton can book a trip to its third conference finals appearance in four seasons, while knocking off the Pacific Division-champion Golden Knights in the process. Vegas lost in the first round of last year’s playoffs after winning the Stanley Cup in 2023. The Oilers haven’t hoisted the Cup since winning their fifth in a seven-season span in 1990.
