Sam Bennett, Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk found the back of the net in the team’s loss away from home. The defeat also snapped a three-game winning streak for the team from South Florida.

The three-game winning streak for the Panthers began with a 3-0 shutout win over the Los Angeles Kings on Jan. 29 at Amerant Bank Arena. Tkachuk, Barkov and Bennett all got on the scoresheet in that one as well, this time securing the win at home for Florida.

Then, the team took a 5-1 thrashing of the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday in South Florida. Sam Reinhart, Carter Verhaeghe, Jonah Gadjovich, Evan Rodrigues and Tkachuk all scored in the big win at home for the Panthers.

Finally, the Panthers took a 6-3 finish over the New York Islanders on Sunday at home.

Verhaeghe notched a hat-trick to help secure the win for the reigning champs, to go along with goals from Reinhart, Tkachuk and Rodrigues.
