The Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers face-off in a critical Game 5 on Wednesday in what has been a contentious Eastern Conference second round series.

Home ice has ruled supreme through the first four games of the Eastern Conference second round series between the Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs. The home team has won all four games in the series heading into Game 5 on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. There has been an edginess to the matchup, with Florida’s Sam Bennett elbowing Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz in Game 1 and Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov landing a high hit on Toronto’s Mitch Marner in Game 4. Toronto’s Max Domi picked up a $5,000 fine for boarding Florida captain Aleksander Barkov as time expired in Game 4, as well.
