The Florida Panthers play the second of a four-game road trip on Saturday night when they take on the Buffalo Sabres. The Panthers come into the game 1-1 on the season and looking to avoid a second straight loss. The Panthers, who are coming off winning the Stanley Cup last season, won their first game against the Boston Bruins, but struggled on offense in a 3-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Thursday. The Panthers got off to a great start to their season, by scoring four goals in the first period against the Bruins in their first game. Sam Bennett scored twice in that opening frame and they never looked back. The first period wasn’t as kind against the Senators as they gave up two goals in the opening period and they would never lead in the game. Gustav Forsling did score his first goal of the season in the second period, but that is all they would get.

The Sabres will look to shut down the Panthers offense on Saturday night as they try and snap a three-game losing streak.

It has not been a good start to the season for the Sabres as they lost twice to the New Jersey Devils in Prague and then game home and lost 3-1 to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.

The Sabres have scored just three combined goals in their first three games and need to find a way to score more goals if they want any shot to knock off the Panthers.

Alex Tuch, Jordan Greenway and Owen Power have been the only three Sabres to find the back of the net so far this season.
