Florida will be playing on back-to-back nights after losing to the Washington Capitals on Saturday 6-3 on the road. Florida went 2-4 on its six-game road trip but the Panthers are finally back at home tonight. The Capitals continued their best record in the league for their fourth win in a row. The first period was full of action with it ending in a 3-3 tie. But the Caps kept the action going with Florida seemingly missing the memo as Washington scored three more in the second period. Washington swept the season series 3-0 in the process.

Pittsburgh is coming off a 6-3 win of its own against the Columbus Blue Jackets at home on Friday. Sidney Crosby scored his 25th goal of the season and added an assist. Crosby became the 13th player ever to record at least least 25 goals in at least 15 seasons. Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic came up clutch as well stopping 44 shots. The Penguins stunningly have just four regulation losses against Columbus since the 2000-01 season.
