Despite losing four of their last six games, the Dallas Stars are firmly entrenched in the playoffs sitting 13 points ahead of the final Wild Card spot in the National Hockey League’s Western Conference with 14 games remaining as they welcome the Philadelphia Flyers into the American Airlines Center on Saturday afternoon. The Flyers have lost eight of their last nine games including three in a row and are winless thus far on their five-game road trip. Philadelphia has lost nine of the last 11 meetings in this series and have been beaten in seven straight road games in this series last winning in Texas in October of 2014.

The Stars rank fourth in the NHL scoring 3.37 goals per game this season led by winger Jason Robertson’s team-high 29 goals. Robertson, a second-round pick by Dallas in the 2017 NHL Draft, has four goals in his last seven games and is one goal away from his third 30-goal season over the last four years. The 25-year-old Michigan native scored a career high 46 goals for the Stars during the 2022-23 campaign and has three goals in seven games against the Flyers.

Despite being held without a point in his last four games, Flyers winger Travis Konecny leads the team with 65 points this season and is four points away from surpassing his career high of 68 points set last season. Konecny has tallied 30 or more goals in the previous two seasons and is now four goals shy of 200 for his career.

During the Stars seven-game home winning streak in this series, Dallas has won five of those games by two or more goals including three of the last four meetings.
