Off three consecutive shootouts, the Philadelphia Flyers skate into the Canadian capitol to face the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.

On a season-long two-game winning streak, the Ottawa Senators return to Canadian Tire Centre on Thursday night to face-off against the Philadelphia Flyers for the first of three meetings between the Eastern Conference foes this season. The Flyers come into this game on two days rest after playing in three shootouts in five days, winning at Tampa Bay and at home against San Jose for their fifth win in nine games after a disastrous 1-5-1 start to the season. Despite ranking in the bottom five in the league in goals allowed, the Flyers are second in the NHL on the penalty kill and will be tested by the Senators fourth ranked power play that has scored twice in the last three games.

Four of Brady Tkachuk’s team-leading eight goals this season have come on the Senators power play, as the seven-year veteran is on pace for his third straight double digit power play goal season. Tkachuk, along with center Tim Stutzle have combined for 38 points through Ottawa’s first 15 games, with the Senators getting at least a point from the duo in every game this season.

Flyers winger Travis Konecny leads the club with 17 points and comes into this game on a four-game points streak. Having posted career-high point totals in each of the last two seasons, Konecny is on pace to best last year’s 68-point mark and will set a career-high in power play goals the next time he lights the lamp on the man-advantage.

The Senators have dominated this series of late, winning six of the last eight meetings dating back to March 2022, including three of the last four played in Ottawa.
