The Philadelphia Flyers look for their first winning streak in nearly a month as they skate into Las Vegas on Thursday to take on the Pacific Division leading Golden Knights.

Winners of 17 of their last 20 games, the Vegas Golden Knights have assumed the lead in a jam packed Pacific Division as they open 2025 at home on Thursday night inside the T-Mobile Arena against the visiting Philadelphia Flyers who have not won in Vegas since 2021. The Flyers slogged their way through December, going 5-8, but have won three of their last five as they continue on their season-long six-game road trip that began before Christmas and wraps on Sunday in Toronto. This is the second of two meetings between the teams this season, with Vegas winning 5-4 in Philadelphia in late November, marking the fourth win for Vegas against the Flyers in the last five matchups.

Golden Knights center Jack Eichel is third in the NHL with 38 assists this season and comes into this game with 12 points in his last 11 games. Eichel, the second overall selection in the 2015 NHL Draft, has posted three consecutive 30-assist seasons and is two assists shy of his first 40-assist campaign since being traded from Buffalo in November of 2021. The 28-year-old Massachusetts native is on pace for his first career 100-point campaign and is poised to break his career-high of 82 points set during the 2018-19 season.

After scoring a goal in Tuesday’s 4-0 win at San Jose, Travis Konecny leads the Flyers with 42 points this season, having secured his fourth consecutive 40-point campaign. Konecny, who has spent his entire nine-year career with Philadelphia, is nine goals away from 200 for his career and is on pace for his third consecutive 30-30 season.

Vegas has won three of the last four home games against the Flyers with all four games being decided by one goal each.
