With six losses in their last seven games, including four in a row on their home ice, the Boston Bruins enter Tuesday’s nights matchup with the Nashville Predators just two points out of the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference with one quarter of the regular season to go. The Predators have lost four of their last five games and 10 of their last 13 overall as they look to salvage a win on their current three-game northeastern road trip after being swept by the Rangers and Islanders over the weekend. Nashville won the first meeting between the teams this season in a 4-0 home victory back in October and have won two of their last four visits to Boston.

Boston winger David Pastrnak has 32 goals on the campaign, tied for fourth most in the league. Pastrnak, a first-round selection by Boston in the 2014 NHL Draft, has four goals in his last four games and has scored a goal in three of his last four outings against the Predators.

Nashville has been held to two goals or less in five of their last six games and are ranked 31^st in the NHL in scoring averaging just 2.53 goals per game this season. Winger Filip Forsberg is the only Predators skater with 20 or more goals and is one of only two players with 40 or more points this season.

Three of the last five meetings in this series have ended in shutouts including each of the last two contests with the Predators blanking Boston in the first meeting this season and Boston winning 3-0 in Nashville last April.
