The Rangers come into this game rolling, as they have been most of this season. Peter Laviolette’s squad has won three games in a row, eight of its last nine, and 10 of its last 11. They’re getting closer to locking up the top spot in the Eastern Conference and the President’s Trophy, three points up on both the Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars in the standings with an equal amount of games played against both. They have a five-point cushion on the Carolina Hurricanes for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division.
