J.T. Compher and Jonatan Berggren each had a goal and an assist, as the Red Wings rebounded from a 4-0 deficit to take a 6-4 victory over St. Louis on Saturday night in Detroit. Simon Edvinsson scored the go-ahead goal at 10:48 of the third period and added an empty-net tally to ice the decision. John Gibson stopped the last 13 shots he faced after a rocky start.

The Blues lost their fourth in a row on Monday night, dropping a 6-3 decision to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Nick Bjugstad and Jordan Kyrou helped St. Louis fight back from a 2-0 deficit just 55 seconds into the game, but the Penguins took the lead for good in the second period. Mathieu Joseph added a third period goal that cut the deficit to 4-3, before Pittsburgh iced the game late.

Captain Dylan Larkin is off to a sizzling start for the Red Wings with six goals and 13 points, while John Gibson has started five games in net with an .870 save percentage and 3.46 goals-against average. Jake Neighbors paces St. Louis with six goals and shares the points lead with Kyrou, each with seven points. Jordan Binnington, who did not play Monday, is 2-3-1 in seven games and five starts with an .872 save percentage and 3.12 GAA.
