The Red Wings go for their second straight win on Tuesday night when they visit the Wild

The Detroit Red Wings hit the road on Tuesday night to take on the Minnesota Wild. The Red Wings come into Tuesday fresh off a 5-4 overtime win over the Anaheim Ducks. They lost in overtime to the Wild on Saturday in their first game after the break, but bounced back to get the win over the Ducks on Sunday. The Red Wings scored the first three goals of the game and led 4-1 early in the second period, but they let the Ducks come all the way back to tie. Patrick Kane saved the day, though, as he scored four minutes into overtime to give them the win. The win improved their record to 29-22-6 on the season and kept them in the first wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. They are four points back of the Tampa Bay Lightning for third place in the Atlantic Division, which would guarantee them a playoff spot.

The Wild are in the third spot in their division as they currently have 72 points and are four points back of the Dallas Stars in the Central.

They haven’t played since their win on Saturday against the Red Wings and will hit the road again after their game on Tuesday.

First, though, they want to get a second straight win over the Red Wings and fourth straight overall. They Wild went through a bit of a slump, but they are playing well again as they try and catch the Stars in the divisional standings.

The Wild are still without Kirill Kraprizov who has played just 37 games this year, but still is leading the team in points with 52. Matt Boldy is right behind him with 50 point and Marco Rossi has 49.
