The Sabres come into Friday night fresh off a 1-0 road win over the Los Angeles Kings. They have now won five of their last seven games to move to 9-9-1 on the season.

The game against the Ducks on Friday is the third of a four-game road trip that will conclude Saturday night against the San Jose Sharks.

They will then play seven of their next eight games at home and are hoping it can help them make a push up the standings.

Alex Tuch and Tage Thompson have been good for the Sabres this year as they are tied for the team lead in points at 18. Tuch leads the team with 13 assists, while Thompson has a team-best 11 goals on the season.
