These two evenly matched inter-conference foes start their season series when the Seattle Kraken host the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday.

The Buffalo Sabres go for their third win in a row when they travel to take on the sliding Seattle Kraken on Sunday night. Seattle has lost seven of its last eight games and its only win came in overtime against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. Their six-game losing streak came to an end, but the Kraken followed that right up on Friday with a 5-3 loss to the Utah Mammoth on the road. Buffalo has won back-to-back games after the Sabres had lost three games in a row. Both Seattle and Buffalo enter this first matchup of the season with 30 points. That has put the Sabres at the bottom of the Atlantic Division standings, while Seattle is third-to-last in the Pacific Division. These two will play the season series finale in Buffalo at the end of March.
