The late slate of the NHL’s Tuesday window features an in-state matchup. The Anaheim Ducks (32-33-8) will be hosting the San Jose Sharks (20-44-9) at the Honda Center in the third and final meeting of the season between the two teams. Their first meeting was all the way back in the season opener. The Ducks won that game 2-0 in San Jose, with goalie Lukas Dostal delivering a 30-save shutout. 10 days later the two teams met again in Anaheim, with the Ducks winning that game 3-1. Dostal was dominant again, putting up 37 saves in that win.

For Anaheim, this is the final game of a five game homestand. The Ducks are 2-2-0 during this stretch. They lost the opener to the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 last Sunday, then won back-to-back high scoring games, beating the Boston Bruins 6-2 on Wednesday and then took down the New York Rangers 5-4 in overtime on Friday. In their most recent outing on Sunday the Ducks lost 3-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Sharks also played on Sunday, as a part of a Southern California swing. In that game they lost to the Los Angeles Kings 8-1. Prior to that the Sharks had their own four-game homestand and went 2-2-0 themselves.
