The Los Angeles Kings look to snap a two-game losing streak on Sunday night when they host the San Jose Sharks.

The Los Angeles Kings continue their three-game homestand on Sunday night when they play the San Jose Sharks. The Kings lost the first game of the homestand to the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-1 and are looking to get back in the win column. The loss was their second in a row and dropped them to 40-23-9 on the season. They were playing great, as they had won nine of 10, but have struggled to score in their last two games. Despite the two straight losses the Kings still sit in second place in the Pacific Division. They are nine points back of the first place Vegas Golden Knights and two points up on the Edmonton Oilers in the standings. They are fighting with the Oilers for second place and home-ice advantage for the first round. The Kings have a tough game to wrap up their homestand on Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets, but first need to fend off the last place Sharks.

The Sharks, though, are looking to come to town and pick up an upset win and hurt the Kings chances of staying in second place.

The Sharks have been in last place in the Pacific Division almost all season and are just looking to find a way to catch the Chicago Blackhawks for the worst record in the NHL.

The game on Sunday night is the first of two straight on the road for the Sharks, who will also play the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday.

They are coming off a four-game homestand in which they picked up surprise wins over the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs.
