On Thursday night in NHL Western Conference action, Pacific Division foes meet for the third time this season as the San Jose Sharks (15-32-6) visit the Seattle Kraken (22-27-3) at Climate Pledge Arena. This will be the third of four meetings this year between the two teams. The first two happened in back-to-back fashion back in late November, in a home and home. San Jose swept both of the games, after the teams split their four meetings last year.

The first of the two games was a high scoring affair. There were five combined goals in the first period and six combined goals in the second, as San Jose went on to win 8-5 at home. Seven different Sharks players recorded multiple points in the game including defenseman Jake Walman, who scored two goals.

A night later the two teams met again in Seattle. The Sharks scored the first four goals of the game in a 4-2 win, getting the victory despite being outshot 38 to 21 and getting out hit 21-11. Goalie Mackenzie Blackwood gave the Sharks a dominant performance, with 36 saves in the win.

The Sharks last played on Monday. They beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 to snap a six game losing streak.

On the other side, the Kraken last played on Tuesday. Seattle lost that game 6-4 to the Anaheim Ducks after getting out to a 3-2 lead in the first 15 minutes.
